Job Title: Team Lead – Scheduling of Interpreter Appointments
Job Summary: The Team Lead for Scheduling Interpreter Appointments is responsible for coordinating, supervising, and managing scheduling activities to ensure timely, accurate, and efficient placement of interpreter appointments across various service settings. This role requires excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills to manage scheduling teams and processes effectively, collaborate with recruitment and onboarding teams, and oversee complaint resolution efforts.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the scheduling team to ensure interpreter appointments are scheduled efficiently and accurately.
- Provide guidance, training, and leadership to scheduling staff, fostering a positive, high-performance environment.
- Manage and resolve scheduling conflicts, ensuring all client needs are promptly met.
- Monitor scheduling team performance, provide feedback, conduct evaluations, and implement improvement strategies as necessary.
- Collaborate closely with interpreter recruiting and onboarding teams to ensure smooth integration of interpreters into scheduling operations.
- Address and resolve complaints effectively, demonstrating a strong commitment to customer satisfaction through our WeCare initiative.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Act as the primary point of contact for escalations or issues related to interpreter scheduling.
- Generate regular scheduling reports to analyze performance metrics and recommend operational improvements.
- Collaborate closely with client service teams, interpreters, and management to ensure seamless service delivery.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in scheduling, preferably within interpretation, translation, or related fields.
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to effectively manage teams.
- Strong knowledge of scheduling software and tools.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Demonstrated ability to multitask, prioritize effectively, and maintain attention to detail.
- Understanding of language services industry standards and compliance requirements preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel for report generation and data analysis.
