Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging curriculum plans tailored to the developmental needs of 2-year-olds, incorporating elements of literacy education, motor skills development, and social-emotional learning
- Foster a warm, welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration, independence, and positive behavior management
- Support children’s early intervention needs by recognizing developmental milestones and collaborating with specialists when necessary
- Manage daily routines including diapering, feeding, nap times, and outdoor play to ensure safety and comfort
- Use effective classroom management techniques to maintain a structured yet flexible learning space conducive to young learners’ growth
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about children’s progress, milestones, and any concerns related to child welfare or behavior
Requirements
- Prior classroom experience working with toddlers or preschool-aged children in daycare or private school settings
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles
- Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, and implementing literacy education for young children
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues and families
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques suitable for 2-year-olds and classroom management best practices
- Ability to perform physical activities related to childcare including lifting, bending, and outdoor play supervision
