DMV Select transactions, including titling, registration, inventory control, and cash drawer
balancing.
State income tax assistance, including paper returns, prior year returns, amendments, and
related forms.
Uses office systems, state systems, written procedures, and supervisor guidance to complete
assigned work accurately.
Maintains organized records and ensures documents are submitted, scanned, imaged, filed, or
routed appropriately.
Team Support and Office Operations
Assists with daily office operations, administrative tasks, mail, filing, scanning, imaging, and
document management.
Assists with training or supporting newly hired employees by explaining routine procedures or
demonstrating assigned tasks.
May provide limited day-to-day support in the absence of the supervisor, consistent with office
procedures and assigned authority.
Assists the downtown office or other office functions as directed.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGES, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND OTHER COMPETENCIES
Knowledge of general office practices, customer service standards, and administrative procedures.
Ability to learn and apply local tax procedures, DMV Select procedures, office policies, and system
requirements.
Ability to follow written procedures and verbal instructions accurately.
Ability to review documents, compare information, and identify discrepancies or missing
information.
Ability to perform basic math, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages,
and routine calculations.
Ability to enter, retrieve, and review information in computer systems with reasonable speed and
accuracy.
Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with the public, coworkers, supervisors, City
employees, State employees, and business representatives.
Ability to organize work, manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently within
established guidelines.
Ability to remain calm, tactful, and professional when assisting frustrated, confused, or upset
customers.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Requires any combination of education, training, and experience equivalent to a high school
diploma.
