Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Pipe Foreman. The Pipe Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of a pipe crew involved in the installation of underground utilities, including water, sanitary sewer, and storm drain systems. The Foreman ensures work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project plans, specifications, and company standards for civil construction. Duties
- Supervise, coordinate, and work with pipe crew, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to project schedules
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to guide installation processes
- Oversee quality control measures, including inspections and adherence to safety protocols such as OSHA standards
- Ensure compliance with contracts, safety regulations, and environmental standards throughout the construction site
- Conduct regular site inspections to verify work quality, safety practices, and progress against schematics and blueprints
Skills
- 5+ years of underground utility experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory/foreman role
- Strong working knowledge of civil sitework and pipe installation methods
- Skilled in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation
- Skilled in setting and checking grades using lasers or GPS
- Effective leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred)
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and best practices for construction site safety compliance
- Physically demanding; frequent lifting, bending, standing, and walking
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and operate around heavy equipment
- Excellent leadership skills with a focus on team supervision, training, and motivating crew members
