About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Crown & Bridge Ceramist to join our growing dental laboratory team. The ideal candidate is a skilled ceramist who is confident working on both anterior and posterior restorations, with strong hands-on experience in porcelain build-up, anterior esthetics, contouring, staining and glazing.
This is a bench position for someone who takes pride in craftsmanship, understands natural tooth anatomy and occlusion, and can consistently produce high-quality restorations while meeting production timelines.
Key Responsibilities
· Fabricate and finish Crown & Bridge restorations with a strong focus on esthetics, function and fit.
· Build and layer porcelain for anterior crowns and other esthetic restorations.
· Demonstrate strong ability to create natural anterior anatomy, line angles, surface texture and emergence profiles.
· Work with zirconia, lithium disilicate/e.max, PFM and other ceramic materials.
· Contour, stain, glaze, fire and finish restorations according to case requirements.
· Work confidently on anterior crowns, including highly esthetic cases requiring detailed characterization.
· Evaluate and refine margins, contacts, occlusion, proximal anatomy and overall morphology.
· Read and follow dentist prescriptions, work orders, shade information and case instructions.
· Perform quality-control checks before cases move to final inspection.
· Identify and correct technical issues while maintaining consistency and turnaround times.
· Collaborate with designers and other Crown & Bridge technicians to resolve case questions and maintain workflow.
· Maintain a clean, organized and efficient work area.
Required Qualifications
· Previous professional experience as a Crown & Bridge Technician, Ceramist or Porcelain Technician.
· Demonstrated experience building and layering porcelain.
· Hands-on experience with anterior crowns and anterior esthetics is required.
· Strong understanding of tooth anatomy, morphology, occlusion and functional contours.
· Ability to independently complete ceramic restorations with minimal supervision.
· Strong attention to detail, hand skills and esthetic judgment.
· Ability to consistently meet quality and production expectations.
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience with zirconia and lithium disilicate/e.max.
· Experience with PFM and layered zirconia restorations.
· Experience with stain and glaze characterization.
· Experience with implant-supported Crown & Bridge restorations.
· Familiarity with digital CAD/CAM workflows.
· CDT certification or formal dental laboratory education is a plus, but not required.
What We Are Looking For
· A true craftsperson who takes pride in the quality of their work.
· Someone with a strong eye for natural anterior esthetics.
· A dependable team player who communicates well and takes ownership of their cases.
· Someone who can balance quality, productivity and turnaround time.
