Shah Spine & Pain is seeking an experienced, dependable X-Ray Technologist to join our busy interventional pain management practice. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced outpatient setting and assisting physicians with fluoroscopy-guided pain procedures.
Responsibilities
- Operate C-arm fluoroscopy equipment during interventional pain management procedures.
- Obtain high-quality fluoroscopic images while minimizing radiation exposure to patients and staff.
- Assist with procedures including:
- Epidural steroid injections
- Medial branch blocks
- Radiofrequency ablation
- Facet joint injections
- Sacroiliac joint injections
- Joint injections
- Spinal cord stimulator trials and implants
- Peripheral nerve stimulation procedures
- Other fluoroscopy-guided spine and pain procedures
- Properly position patients and C-arm equipment for cervical, thoracic, lumbar, sacral, and extremity procedures.
- Maintain appropriate radiation safety standards, including proper use of shielding, dosimeters, and ALARA principles.
- Prepare the procedure room and ensure imaging equipment is functioning properly.
- Maintain accurate imaging documentation and patient records.
- Follow infection-control, HIPAA, OSHA, and office safety protocols.
- Maintain required radiation safety logs and assist with regulatory inspections and documentation.
- Coordinate closely with physicians, nurses, medical assistants, and anesthesia staff to maintain efficient patient flow.
- Clean and properly maintain imaging equipment and procedure areas.
- Assist with general clinical duties when needed.
Qualifications
- Current New York State Radiologic Technologist license required.
- ARRT certification preferred.
- Current BLS certification preferred.
- Experience with C-arm fluoroscopy strongly preferred.
- Prior experience in pain management, orthopedics, spine, ASC, or interventional procedures is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of radiation safety regulations and proper fluoroscopic technique.
- Ability to work efficiently while maintaining excellent attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and a professional, patient-focused demeanor.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with the clinical team.

We are looking for someone who is reliable, efficient, organized, and comfortable working directly alongside physicians during procedures. Experience positioning a C-arm quickly and accurately for spine injections is a significant plus.
