Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Carpenter/Handyman to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of construction, repair, and renovation tasks across residential and commercial projects. Your expertise will ensure that projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. Responsibilities
- Utilize hand tools and power tools for woodworking, framing, siding, fixture installation, and general carpentry tasks.
- Perform residential carpentry work including door hanging, cabinet installation, trim carpentry, flooring installation, tile laying, and drywall repairs.
- Conduct restoration projects such as water damage remediation, and plastering.
- Ensure power tool safety protocols are followed at all times while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Support remodeling projects by installing flooring, tiles, cabinetry, doors, siding, or other building materials as needed.
- Contribute to water damage restoration efforts by assessing damage and performing necessary repairs or fabrications.
Experience
- Proven experience in construction or handyman roles with a focus on residential or commercial projects.
- Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques including framing, trim carpentry, door hanging, cabinet installation, and flooring.
- Hands-on experience with woodworking tools (hand tools and power tools).
- Knowledge of safety standards related to power tools usage (power tool safety) and general construction site safety practices.
- Experience in restoration industry tasks such as water damage restoration, plastering, or drywall is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail in all aspects of construction work.
- Prior involvement in remodeling projects involving tile laying, fixture installation (lighting fixtures or appliances), siding replacement or repair is preferred.
