Maren a Divison of Komar Industries is seeking production Welders. This position is responsible for welding and fitting components used in the assembly of heavy equipment while maintaining quality, safety, and production standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform MIG welding on heavy steel components and assemblies.
- Position, align, fit, grind, and weld metal parts according to specifications and production requirements.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and layout specifications.
- Perform basic fabrication tasks, including fitting and preparing components for welding.
- Use measuring devices and layout tools to ensure proper fit and alignment.
- Move materials and assemblies manually or with overhead cranes and forklifts.
- Inspect completed welds for quality and conformance to specifications.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area while following all company safety procedures.
- Meet established production schedules and quality standards.
- Assist with additional fabrication and manufacturing duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of production welding and fabrication experience preferred.
- Ability to pass an AWS D1.1 weld certification test as a condition of employment.
- Must successfully complete a weld test.
- Experience with short arc and spray arc welding processes.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings.
- Forklift and overhead crane experience preferred.
- Strong mathematical and mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to read and understand safety rules, operating instructions, and manufacturing procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment.
Physical Requirements
- Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Stand, bend, kneel, and work in various positions throughout the shift.
- Ability to work around welding fumes, noise, and industrial manufacturing equipment while using required PPE.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
