Overview
Davis Sanitation, Inc is seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our company.
Duties
- Operate trucks for the transportation of refuse, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe operating condition.
- Maintain accurate records of work orders, and routing
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding services.
- Navigate routes efficiently using GPS or maps, adjusting as necessary for traffic or road conditions.
- Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of the truck, reporting any mechanical issues promptly.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Experience in truck driving, particularly with manual transmission vehicles.
- Strong knowledge of route driving techniques and navigation skills.
- Excellent time management skills with a focus on punctuality in deliveries.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team when necessary.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening as part of the hiring process.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
