Grocery Experience a Plus!!
You will be supervising a Team in our warehouse operation and follow our daily work schedule to keep it on track. You will be establishing and practicing a culture of safety at all times, and ensuring employees understand how to perform their duties safely, effectively and efficiently. In addition, you will be interpreting, teaching, mentoring and training employees when needed on Safety Regulations.
Essential Job Functions and Accountabilities:
- Prioritizes and organizes work effectively to meet deadlines and achieve performance objectives.
- Ensures products are consistently and accurately loaded onto trucks by set deadlines. Responsible for unloading of trucks that deliver product.
- Ensures equipment is in good working order and is properly maintained.
- Ensures all products are properly handled.
- Assist with recruitment and training of new hires.
- Ensures employees work safely and maintain housekeeping initiatives.
- Studying production schedules and estimating worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment while maintaining time and production records
- Appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining team members when appropriate
Education and/or Experience Qualifications
- High School or GED required.
- 1-3 years’ warehouse management experience including shipping, receiving, inventory control and warehouse operations.
- Very good understanding of mathematical concepts
- Good oral communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills required
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality
- MUST be able to work night and weekend schedule on a regular basis.
