Duties
- Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, glassware, cookware, and kitchen tools efficiently throughout each shift
- Assist with food preparation tasks when needed, including basic ingredient handling and setup
- Support catering and banquet services by ensuring all serving ware is clean and ready for use
- Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing areas, including sinks, counters, and storage spaces
- Follow proper food handling procedures to prevent cross-contamination and ensure hygiene standards are met
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely clearing of tables and support food service operations
- Adhere to safety protocols related to cleaning chemicals and equipment operation to promote a safe work environment
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy loads of dishes or supplies
- Knowledge of basic cleaning procedures and sanitation standards in a commercial kitchen setting
- Familiarity with food handling practices and safety regulations within hospitality or hotel environments is a plus
- Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting culinary staff and guest service teams
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends, or during busy catering events
- Prior banquet or catering experience is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate
