Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Inventory Specialist to join our team and drive excellence in supply chain management and inventory control. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing inventory levels, optimizing stock management processes, and ensuring seamless coordination across warehouse distribution, procurement, and logistics functions. Your expertise will help streamline operations, reduce costs, and enhance overall supply chain efficiency. Duties
- Manage inventory levels using warehouse management systems
- Perform root cause analysis on inventory discrepancies or stock shortages to implement corrective actions that improve accuracy and reduce waste.
- Oversee warehouse distribution activities including shipping & receiving, order fulfillment, materials handling, and 3PL (third-party logistics) coordination.
- Utilize data visualization techniques to present insights on inventory performance, supply chain analytics, and category management opportunities to stakeholders.
- Lead process improvement initiatives focused on inventory control, stocking strategies, and materials management to enhance efficiency across the supply chain.
- Support production planning and materials management by analyzing data related to demand forecasting and inventory turnover rates.
Experience
- Proven experience in supply chain management with a strong understanding of warehouse distribution, procurement, and logistics operations.
- Demonstrated proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS), Windows platforms especially Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets platfoms.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform financial modeling, root cause analysis, and data collection for process improvement initiatives.
- Hands-on experience with inventory management techniques including cycle counting, stock replenishment, and demand planning.
- Knowledge of category management principles, merchandising strategies, and retail or e-commerce environments is a plus.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams in fast-paced settings.
