Job Description: Quality Assurance Lab Technicians at Triple H Foods are responsible for conducting testing procedures during manufacturing processes to ensure that products comply with quality and food safety standards. Quality technicians are involved in the entire course of manufacturing. They may inspect raw ingredients and packaging, analyze trial products during development, or test in process and finished goods. During these processes, they record and analyze the results to decide whether to certify or reject specific products. Some technicians use this data to solve production issues and recommend improvements. Other duties may include preparing inspection plans, training new technicians, and evaluating quality cost.

Key Job Duties
- Familiar with laboratory testing procedures such as Brix, pH, acid content.
- Familiar with organoleptic testing procedures (odor, color, flavor, appearance)
- Familiar to verify weight and volume.
- Familiar with chemical names and strength of chemical reagents.
- Will need to be able to detect color change in chemical reactions.
- Ensure BRC, HACCP GMPs and Cross Contamination Prevention Programs are being always followed.
- Proactively communicate with the supervisor any reason unable to meet the schedule.
- Actively participate in or prepare for any anticipated line changes.
- Maintains safe work practices.
- Wear common PPE required.
- Must be willing to work overtime and weekend days as needed.
- Other duties may be assigned.
- Inform supervisor of any lab equipment not functioning properly.
- Maintain a clean organized and safe work area.
- Make sure to tell supervisor when running low on chemicals or other lab supplies.
- Inform the supervisor when product or ingredient specifications are not met or GMP violations are observed.
- Correct any mistakes on paperwork properly.
- When not performing scheduled tests/inspections, continuously audit production lines for compliance with good manufacturing procedures and other food safety/quality programs.
- Performs other duties as assigned by QA Leads or management.

Education
- Associate degree preferred.
- 3 years of experience in a Quality Control Laboratory Technician role
- 3 years of food industry experience
- 2 years of auditing experience
- Experience in food quality control or related field preferred
- Familiarity with BRC, HACCP, GMP and statistical analysis preferred.
- Must be able to read and communicate effectively in writing and verbally in English and Spanish.
Necessary Skills and Experience
- Must be able to read and write legibly in English.
- Should be familiar with units of weight and heat measurements.
- Strong Mathematical skills
- Attention to detail-oriented and very observant when performing their duties.
Work Environment
This job requires working in an open material-moving equipment. Includes exposure to sounds and noise level that are distracting or uncomfortable. Requires working in a very hot (above 90 degrees F) or very cold (below 32 degrees F) temperatures. Requires working in extremely bright conditions. Requires working indoors in non-controlled environmental conditions. Job tasks are performed in close physical proximity to other people.
Physical Demands:
Standing for long periods of time. The individual should have the ability to stand or walk for the duration of the shift (up to 12 hours). Must be able to lift 50lbs periodically. Requires sitting, bending, twisting, walking, climbing stairs, repetitive movement, and standing, use of hands to manipulate/control/inspect objects, tools, or controls throughout their shift. Requires exposure to hazardous equipment.
