Coastal Medical Group is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our Internal Medicine practice in Southeast Houston. We are a family-owned practice that offers a supportive team environment and opportunities for growth. Epic EHR training will be provided.
Job Responsibilities
- Room patients and prepare them for provider visits
- Obtain and document vital signs and medical history
- Perform data entry, charting, and scribing
- Conduct EKGs, injections, spirometry, urinalysis, and other clinical procedures
- Process medication refills and prior authorizations
- E-prescribe medications
- Complete patient forms and documentation
- Return patient phone calls and messages
- Assist with additional duties as needed
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of Medical Assistant experience required
- Medical Assistant certification preferred
- Epic EHR experience preferred
- Strong medication knowledge
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Professional and compassionate bedside manner
- Spanish-speaking preferred
- Basic computer skills required
