GENERAL FUNCTION
The Quality Auditor will be responsible to conduct inspections on all the surfaced and/or cut and edge lenses, to ensure the products meet the required standards.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Inspect product using established criteria.
- Perform and demonstrate excellent skills in reading of a Lensometer and interpreting results and findings.
- Record data and report findings upon completion of inspection.
- Follow all written and verbal directions provided by Quality Lead, Supervisor and Production Leadership.
- Participate in start and end of shift report out.
- Separate and label defective product according to established processes and procedures.
- Provide immediate feedback to production supervisors/leads.
- Fill out basic data collection sheets for all inspected units.
- Enter data into database after audit is complete.
- Works safely and maintains a safe, organized and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Reports safety hazards and work-related injuries to supervision immediately.
- Work effectively and collaboratively with others.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as needed.
- This position requires exposure to one or more hazardous substances/chemicals which requires safety training.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
- At least 6 months experience in a production environment
- Ability to read, understand and carry out instructions (i.e. operating procedures, safety standards, labels).
- Ability to read of a Lensometer and interpret results and findings
- Have a near vision capability to 20/40 max with/without corrective prescription eyewear.
- High attention to detail and ability to maintain concentration for long periods of time.
- Learning agility, ability to multi-task and adapt to a quickly changing environment.
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work with light supervision as well as a team player.
- Basic Math Skills (add, subtract, multiply and divide)
- Data entry / typing skills.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Familiarity with SAP / AFS platform
- Understanding of internal auditing standards
Pay Range: $17.68 - $24.09
