Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards, maintaining consistency and quality.
- Assist with menu planning and ingredient preparation to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Handle food safely by following proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures at all times.
- Use knife skills and food preparation techniques efficiently to optimize workflow.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and workstations.
- Support catering events and special functions by preparing dishes in accordance with event specifications.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service and uphold the restaurant’s high standards of food quality and presentation.
Experience
- Previous experience in a culinary or kitchen environment, preferably within a restaurant or fine dining setting.
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper food handling practices.
- Experience with meal preparation, cooking techniques, and food industry standards.
- Familiarity with dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus.
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in food preparation are highly desirable.
- Background in menu planning, food service, catering, or serving roles will be advantageous.
