JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: Maintenance Technician
RESPONSIBLE TO: Environmental Director
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under the direction of the Environmental Director, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for the general maintenance of the group homes and grounds, coordination of outside vendors, and related work as required.
CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. The position includes moderately difficult maintenance, service, and repair work. It may involve repair tasks that involve the facilities, company vehicles, mechanical equipment, and grounds maintenance/upkeep.
2. The Maintenance Technician will coordinate with outside vendors work to be done that goes beyond the scope of the individual’s capabilities.
3. Checks and maintains the facilities, grounds, and equipment for preventative maintenance.
4. Performs other related work as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
1. Ability to make general repairs of buildings and equipment.
2. Considerable knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems.
3. Ability to plan, organize, assign, supervise, and inspect the work of outside vendors.
4. Ability to follow instructions.
5. Ability to keep routine records, inventories, and create reports.
HOURS OF WORK: Full Time , non-exempt position
EVALUATION SCHEDULE: Annual
QUALIFICATIONS: Three years experience in building maintenance or related work.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
