Crane Inspector/Service Tech
Location: CES is a multi-branch company with locations in and around Illinois, Iowa and Indiana.

We are seeking a skilled Hoist & Crane Service Technician, with proven electrical inspection, service, and repair experience to join our growing team.
Summary:
To perform repairs, maintenance, installations, and inspections of overhead bridge cranes, hoists, and various material handling equipment as required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Troubleshoots & completes repairs, maintenance and installation, inspection, and load testing at customer locations for a variety of overhead bridge cranes and hoists. Complete appropriate paperwork as required. Work in a safe and effective manner. Will be assigned facility maintenance as required. Mowing, electrical, snow removal, general maintenance.

None.

Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one year minimum of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Language Skills:
Ability to read and comprehend technical instructions, schematics, diagrams, and instructional manuals. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, and/or supervisors, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed and involved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving many variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills:
Must learn in-house software, use Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel. Uses service program on iPad.
Other Skills and Abilities:
Ability to read Blueprints
Ability to read schematics
Strong electro-mechanical knowledge
Familiarity with 3 phase electrical equipment
Knowledge of control voltage circuits
Experience with variable frequency drives.
Other Qualifications:
Will be required to travel on a regular and daily basis. Must have valid driver’s license. Must be available to perform evening and weekend work. Employee is required to supply small hand tools, such as screwdrivers, wrenches, electrical tools, etc. Knowledge of VFD and strong electrical skills preferred.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
