Houff Corporation is seeking a versatile and dependable employee to support multiple operational needs within the company. This position will primarily focus on mechanical maintenance of industrial machinery and equipment. This role requires flexibility, a strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work in a variety of environments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Assist with mechanical maintenance and repairs on industrial machinery and equipment
· Perform preventative maintenance to ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently
· Support general operational tasks across facilities as needed
· Follow all safety procedures and company policies while performing job duties
· Work collaboratively with maintenance and operations teams
Requirements
· Ability to work comfortably at heights up to 60 feet
· Ability to work in confined spaces
· Willingness to travel to all Houff facilities including Weyers Cave, Doswell, Clifton Forge, and Rockbridge
· Flexible schedule (night or weekend work may occasionally be required)
· Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
· Ability to work outdoors year-round in varying weather conditions
· Willingness to learn new skills and perform tasks outside of one’s comfort zone
· Must currently hold or be able to obtain a Class A CDL
Qualifications
· Previous experience in automotive repair or a technical trade
· Previous experience working in maintenance or industrial environments
· HVAC experience
· Welding experience
· Electrical experience
