A Specialty Cleaning Janitorial Lead oversees the cleaning of both hard-surface floors and carpets, ensuring facilities meet high standards of cleanliness, safety, and hygiene. This role combines operational leadership with hands-on cleaning expertise, managing teams, maintaining equipment, and enforcing compliance with health and safety regulations

Pay: $25.00 per hour
The pay listed is the salary range for this position. Any specific offer will vary based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.
Schedule: must have open availability
Team Leadership & Operations
Plan, organize, and manage the work of cleaning staff, assigning tasks for both floor and carpet areas
Develop and maintain weekly schedules, ensuring all areas are covered and deadlines met
Train, supervise, and motivate cleaning staff on proper use of equipment, chemicals, and safety protocols
Perform other related duties as assigned by management including fill-in for other janitorial positions that we may need you to cover.
Oversee daily cleaning of carpets, hard surfaces, and related areas, including shampooing, bonnet cleaning, hot water extraction, stripping, sealing, and waxing of hard surface floors.
Inspect floors and carpets for damage, stains, or wear, and recommend repairs or replacements
Window Cleaning and pressure washing also to be performed
Operate and maintain cleaning equipment such as buffers, scrubbers, vacuums, and carpet extractors and pressure washers
Ensure adherence to safety standards when handling cleaning chemicals and equipment
Supplies & Equipment Management
Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as needed
Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on cleaning tools
Quality Control & Compliance
Conduct regular inspections to verify cleaning quality and compliance with client or organizational standards.
Enforce health and safety regulations, including proper storage and handling of hazardous materials
Customer & Stakeholder Relations
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients or management regarding cleaning issues, special requests, and service quality
Address complaints promptly and implement corrective actions
Reporting & Documentation
Prepare reports on cleaning activities, staff attendance, expenses, and incident reports
Maintain accurate records of cleaning schedules, completed tasks, and maintenance logs
Required Skills & Qualifications
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Experience in carpet and floor cleaning (2+ years preferred) Indeed.
Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment operation, and safety protocols.
Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work in fast-paced environments.
Certifications in carpet cleaning or related fields are a plus.
