Position Summary
The Licensed Child Care Administrator serves as the operational leader of Aspire Haven and is responsible for ensuring excellence in regulatory compliance, staff leadership, resident care, and daily operations while maintaining full compliance with HHSC and DFPS regulations.
This position plays a vital role in creating a safe, structured, trauma-informed environment where children can heal and thrive.
Essential Responsibilities
- Direct all daily operations of the Residential Treatment Center
- Ensure continuous compliance with HHSC and DFPS Minimum Standards
- Prepare for and lead licensing inspections and audits
- Recruit, train, supervise, mentor, and evaluate staff
- Develop staffing schedules and maintain required staffing ratios
- Oversee resident admissions, discharges, and placement coordination
- Ensure accurate documentation and record maintenance
- Manage incident reporting and corrective action plans
- Maintain quality assurance and continuous performance improvement initiatives
- Coordinate emergency preparedness, drills, and safety procedures
- Monitor medication administration compliance
- Promote trauma-informed, resident-centered care
- Collaborate with therapists, medical providers, placing agencies, and families
- Foster a positive workplace culture built on accountability, professionalism, and teamwork
Minimum QualificationsRequired
- Current Texas Licensed Child Care Administrator (LCCA)
- Experience in a Residential Treatment Center (RTC), General Residential Operation (GRO), or comparable residential child care setting
- Strong knowledge of HHSC and DFPS regulations
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to successfully pass all required background checks
Preferred
- Previous RTC leadership or administrative experience
- Experience opening or expanding residential programs
- Experience preparing facilities for state licensing inspections
- Trauma-informed care experience
- CPR and First Aid Certification (or ability to obtain)
Schedule
- Approximately 30 hours per week (with flexibility based on operational needs)
- On-call leadership responsibilities as required
- Occasional evenings, weekends, or emergency response when necessary
