Job Summary
Natural State Dental is looking for a motivated, dependable, and compassionate Full Time Dental Assistant (M-TH; with some Fridays) to join our growing team. This position has the potential to transition into a full-time role for the right candidate.
The ideal candidate is a team player who enjoys building relationships with patients, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in delivering exceptional care.
Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms before and after patient appointments.
- Assist the dentist during a variety of restorative and general dental procedures.
- Anticipate the doctor's needs and ensure efficient patient flow.
- Take high-quality digital dental radiographs in accordance with state regulations.
- Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control protocols following OSHA and CDC guidelines.
- Prepare and maintain dental instruments, materials, and equipment.
- Educate patients on treatment recommendations and post-operative care.
- Assist with digital scanning and CAD/CAM restorations (training provided if needed).
- Accurately document patient information and treatment in the practice management software.
- Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Help keep operatories and common areas clean, organized, and stocked.
- Support teammates and contribute to a positive office culture.
Qualifications
- Dental Assistant experience preferred (new graduates are encouraged to apply).
- Current X-Ray certification required (or ability to obtain).
- Knowledge of infection control and sterilization procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow.
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
