Truck Medic is a 24/7 mobile diesel shop in Oklahoma City. We've been serving truckers, fleets, and owner-operators in OKC since 2015. We run a 7-bay shop on West Reno Ave plus a fully-equipped mobile dispatch operation covering the I-40, I-35, and I-44 corridors. We're growing, and right now we need experienced diesel mechanics who can cover EVENINGS, NIGHTS, and WEEKENDS.
This is a mobile-first role. Trucks break down around the clock, and most of our demand hits after the 9-5 shops close. We need night-and-weekend coverage more than we need another daytime shop hand. If you'd rather work evenings, overnights, or weekends than a standard Monday-Friday day shift, this job is built for you.
The schedule we need most:
- Evening and overnight coverage
- Weekend coverage (Saturday and Sunday)
- On-call mobile and roadside dispatch
- Less 9-5 shop time, more after-hours and weekend work
We pay extra for nights, weekends, on-call rotations, and roadside work.
We're not a chain shop and we don't pretend to be one. We run lean, we work hard, we take care of our customers, and we take care of our crew. No corporate BS, no pressure to upsell, no drama.
What you'll be doing:
- Mobile and roadside repairs on Class 6, 7, and 8 trucks - evenings, nights, and weekends
- Engine work on Cummins, Detroit, Paccar, Volvo, and International
- Transmissions, drivetrains, brakes, electrical, DEF systems
- Heavy-duty diesel pickups (F-250/350 Powerstroke, Ram 2500/3500 Cummins, Silverado 2500/3500 Duramax)
- Trailer, RV, and food truck repairs
- Some shop work, but the priority is after-hours and weekend mobile coverage
What we DON'T work on:
- Half-ton pickups (F-150, Ram 1500, Silverado 1500)
- Passenger cars
What we're looking for:
- 3+ years experience on Class 6-8 diesel trucks
- Available evenings, nights, and/or weekends - this is what we need most
- Comfortable on multiple engine brands (Cummins, Detroit, Paccar)
- Own your own basic tools (we provide the specialty stuff)
- Clean driving record
- Can pass a drug test
- Show up on time, work clean, and communicate honestly with customers
- ASE certification a plus, not required
Pay:
- $28.00 - $50.00 per hour, based on your knowledge and experience
- Extra pay for nights, weekends, on-call, and roadside work
- Overtime available
- Pay review after 90 days
