Job Overview
Town & Country Bank is currently seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Loan Servicer I to join our dynamic team in the financial services industry. This entry-level position is essential in ensuring the smooth servicing of loans, while adhering to regulatory requirements and company policies. This position would include escrow processing, insurance tracking, and file maintenance for commercial, real estate, and consumer loans. This position also orders and reviews non-complex appraisals.
Responsibilities
Escrow Processing
- Reviews and processes escrow analysis; includes paying taxes and insurance, printing coupon books, and scanning documents to file.
- Sends adjustable rate mortgage notices for all branches on escrowed loans.
- Communicates with Counties on requirements for paying real estate taxes.
- Is responsible for reviewing system generated audit reports for escrow.
- Monitors and reports loans with private mortgage insurance.
Loan Servicing
- Manages force placed insurance letters for all branches.
- Processes monthly force placed insurance bills for all branches.
Loan Files
- Manages the transition of Commercial and Real Estate loan files from each branch to the centralized file room at Salem Main.
- Manages the record retention of loan files.
- Ensures that loan files contain documents with proper signature, dates and other relevant data.
- Manages 2 loan vaults- Current loan files with “critical” original documents and back up files with non-critical documents.
- Scans loan files as needed.
- Files loan files in the vault ensuring that they are properly maintained.
- Checks loan files “in” and “out” with proper documentation.
- Checks the loan scanning ensuring all documents are scanned properly, missing documents are notes as exceptions, required recurring ticklers are properly set up.
Internal Loan Accounts
- Reviews loan file maintenance including loan extensions to the daily loan log.
- Reconciles internal accounts as assigned.
Appraisals
- Orders consumer and commercial appraisals.
- Reviews residential appraisals.
- Reviews evaluations and useful life evaluations.
- Calls appraisers on the approved appraiser list for bids on commercial appraisals.
- Pays all appraisal invoices in a timely manner.
- Maintain sinternal comparable sale database.
- Acts as primary contact with appraisers for the bank.
Other
- Performs variety of clerical duties requiring knowledge of departmental procedures.
- Answers telephone inquiries from internal bank staff.
- Has a working knowledge of Appraisal & Loan Policy.
- Assists other departments on a temporary basis as needed.
- Assists in other duties as assigned and directed by senior management.
- Is responsible for all applicable laws and regulations to include the Bank Secrecy Act.
- Adheres to all Bank Policies as set forth by the Board of Directors of Town & Country Bank.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.23 - $19.00 per hour
