American Traveler is seeking an experienced Oncology RN for an outpatient infusion center position in Glens Falls, NY, requiring ONS Chemo Certification, OCN certification, and Epic experience.

Outpatient infusion center setting dedicated to providing IV therapy and specialty medication administration
-
Treatments include IV antibiotics, antifungals, steroids, blood product transfusions, IVIG, hydration therapy, iron infusions, therapeutic phlebotomies, and a wide range of specialty biologics and disease-modifying medications

Involves care and maintenance of central venous access devices, PICC lines, ports, fistulas, and implanted/intrathecal infusion pumps

Patient teaching responsibilities include self-administration of medications such as Humira, Lovenox, and Hepatitis C treatments
-
Day shift hours vary between 8:00 AM–4:00 PM, 8:30 AM–4:30 PM, and 9:00 AM–5:00 PM

8-hour shifts

No weekend or on-call requirements

Epic EMR experience required

Active NY RN license required

Current certifications required: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), ONS Chemotherapy Certification, and Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN)

Minimum 2 years of current experience in outpatient oncology and infusion required

Epic EMR experience required

Peripheral IV insertion experience required

Port, fistula, and catheter experience required

IV Certification highly preferred

BSN preferred
-
Previous travel nursing experience preferred

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs

Candidates with a permanent address in the following New York counties are not eligible for this travel assignment: Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, or Washington

One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years of employment required for consideration

A 14-panel drug screen must be completed within 24 hours of offer acceptance

Permanent address matching a valid Driver's License or State ID must be provided and will be validated during the compliance process

Administer and monitor IV therapies, specialty biologics, and disease-modifying medications across a diverse outpatient patient population
-
De-escalation training (from Welle, CPI, or PMCS) must be completed prior to onboarding and clearance
-
Scrub attire: personal scrubs of any solid color — no designs, cartoons, or hoodies
-
Non-billable orientation is 8 hours

Any requested time off (RTO) must be submitted and verified at the time of profile upload — RTO requests after upload will not be approved, and no more than 5 days of RTO will be accepted

COVID vaccination is encouraged but not required
