Responsibilities
- Deliver food orders swiftly from the kitchen to tables, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are met.
- Clear and reset tables efficiently, removing used dishes, glassware, and utensils to maintain a clean dining area.
- Assist with bussing duties by cleaning tables, chairs, and surrounding areas to uphold cleanliness and guest comfort.
- Support servers by refilling beverages, delivering additional items, and responding promptly to guest requests.
- Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of trays, food carts, or supplies following safe lifting practices.
- Maintain food safety standards by adhering to proper handling procedures during service and cleanup.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and front-of-house team to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, including bussing or food running roles.
- Strong knowledge of food safety protocols and proper food handling techniques.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and prolonged standing.
- Excellent communication skills for effective in-person customer service and teamwork.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing when needed.
- Experience with food preparation and supporting kitchen operations is a plus.
- Knowledge of banquet service or large event setups enhances your versatility in hospitality settings.
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
