Position Opening: PK–12 Talented and Gifted (TAG) Teacher
Location: West Monona Elementary School
Start Date: Fall 2025-2026
West Monona Elementary School is seeking a dedicated and dynamic PK–12 Talented and Gifted (TAG) Teacher for the 2025–2026 school year. We are looking for an educator who excels in communication, collaboration, and building strong interpersonal relationships. The ideal candidate understands the unique academic, emotional, social, and developmental needs of gifted learners and is passionate about helping students reach their full potential.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university

Valid Iowa teaching license (or ability to obtain appropriate certification or Class B license by the district's start date)

TAG endorsement preferred
Desired Skills and Knowledge:

Expertise in TAG instruction and curriculum

Ability to analyze and use student data to inform instruction

Strong classroom management and relationship-building skills

Excellent oral and written communication abilities

Effective collaboration with staff, students, and families

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Create and maintain a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment

Collaborate with classroom teachers to enrich and extend student learning experiences

Plan and deliver differentiated instruction and assessments for gifted learners

Develop curriculum and align lessons to essential standards and student goals

Communicate regularly and professionally with families and staff

Actively participate in school-wide initiatives and professional development

Perform additional duties as assigned
