Duties
- Perform dimensional measurements using precision measuring instruments such as height gauges, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and vision inspection systems to verify product specifications.
- Conduct thorough quality audits to assess compliance with ISO 13485, ISO 9001, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point), FDA regulations, and other regulatory/legal standards.
- Interpret manufacturing documentation, mechanical blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure accurate quality control processes are followed.
- Utilize calibration procedures for measuring instruments to maintain measurement accuracy and reliability across all inspections.
- Analyze inspection data, identify root causes of non-conformances, and recommend corrective actions to improve quality systems.
- Support manufacturing teams by providing guidance on quality standards in production
- Participate in internal and external quality audits, preparing documentation and reports that highlight compliance status and areas for improvement.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in quality assurance within a manufacturing environment, with a strong understanding of quality control processes and systems.
- Knowledge of SQF/GFSI, GMP practices, FDA regulations, HACCP principles, and regulatory/legal compliance standards relevant to manufacturing industries.
- Mechanical knowledge including blueprint interpretation, mechanical measurements, GD&T understanding, and the use of mechanical measurement instruments like height gauges.
- Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret production documents accurately and perform data collection for quality metrics.
- Familiarity with quality management software such as ERP and FoodReady System
- Basic math skills necessary for dimensional measurements and data analysis; attention to detail is essential for success in this role.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams and documenting inspection results clearly.
