Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients efficiently by slicing, dicing, and portioning according to menu specifications using proper knife skills and slicing techniques
- Cook menu items accurately and consistently, adhering to recipes and safety standards in production
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as assembling dishes, garnishing plates, and maintaining station cleanliness
- Follow food safety management protocols to ensure proper handling, storage, and sanitation of all ingredients and equipment
- Support menu planning efforts by suggesting improvements based on ingredient availability and customer preferences
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with safety standards in food handling and kitchen operations
- Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent food service and catering support when needed
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food industry setting is highly preferred
- Demonstrated culinary experience with strong knife skills and slicing techniques
- Familiarity with food safety standards in production environments
- Experience in meal preparation, food handling, and catering services is advantageous
- Knowledge of dietary department practices or dietary aide experience is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety
- Kitchen experience that showcases your commitment to quality food service and teamwork
