Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and energetic Dishwasher/Food Prep team member to join our dynamic culinary environment. Responsibilities
- Thoroughly wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to uphold cleanliness and hygiene standards
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as slicing, chopping, and portioning ingredients following established recipes and safety protocols
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, including countertops, sinks, and storage areas, throughout shifts
- Operate kitchen equipment safely, including dishwashers, food processors, mixers, and other small appliances
- Support the culinary team with meal assembly and plating according to menu specifications
- Follow food safety guidelines during handling, storage, and sanitation procedures to prevent contamination
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate tasks efficiently and ensure timely meal service
Requirements
- Prior experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
- Experience in food service or restaurant environments demonstrating knowledge of food handling and safety standards
- Basic culinary skills including knife techniques, slicing methods, and food preparation procedures
- Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Strong understanding of food safety management practices and adherence to hygiene protocols
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork within the kitchen setting
