About the role:
The Financial Accounting Manager will lead core accounting operations with a focus on claims accounting, financial accuracy and continuous process improvement. This hands-on leader will oversee daily transactional activity, month‑end close processes, team development and cross‑functional collaboration to support the growth of TQL’s financial organization.

What you’ll do:

Lead and manage day‑to‑day claims accounting operations and ensure accurate, timely financial transaction recording

Oversee month‑end close activities including journal entries, reconciliations and variance analysis
-
Maintain compliance with GAAP and internal policies, ensuring strong accounting controls

Analyze workflows to identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements

Support implementation of new tools, technologies and automation to improve efficiency and reduce expense
-
Partner cross‑functionally with operations, finance and technology teams
-
Set team goals, coach and develop staff and ensure performance metrics are met
-
Prepare and review reporting to support audits, business partners and executive leadership
-
Stay current with industry trends, financial regulations and best practices
What you’ll need:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA strongly preferred)

5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience

Leadership experience managing accounting teams in a high‑volume environment

Strong GAAP knowledge and ERP experience (Oracle preferred)

Advanced Excel skills; exposure to BI tools a plus

Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment with a high standard of accuracy

Process improvement or automation project experience
