Local manufacturing company is looking for a driver to make our local runs around the state of Indiana. This is for our backup driver. We need a second driver about 50% of the time. The 2 vehicles you would drive most often are a sprinter van and a F550 with a 16-foot flat bed. The job would be about 50% driving and 50% working with our shipping and receiving department. We make 2-3 runs per week from Indy to the Fort Wayne area and 2-3 days per week we stay in the Indy area. Most of stops are to the same 15 or 20 vendors and customers.
Our driver works a standard 8-hour day most of the time, but we do have rare occasions that we work a longer day or traffic causes a longer day. Hours are 7:00-3:30 Monday thru Friday
We hope to find someone who can learn to help load and unload our vehicles with a forklift or crane at our plant. We don't expect you to help at our vendors or customers plants.
We don't require a CDL but we do require someone who is over 21, has been a license holder for over 5 years and has a clean driving record.
