Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Operator Trainee to join our team. In this entry-level position, you will receive hands-on training in the operation and maintenance of various systems and equipment within our facility. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in water treatment processes and mechanical systems, with a willingness to learn and grow in the field. Successful applicant must pass Class I and Class II drinking water certification within the first year of employment. Also, successful applicant must acquire a Class A CDL permit with tanker endorsement within the first six months of employment.

Position will be subject to call outs, weekends, night shift and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the operation of water treatment and wastewater treatment facilities under the supervision of experienced operators.
- Participate in data collection and analysis to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Support the maintenance and repair of equipment, utilizing basic mechanical knowledge.
- Operate heavy equipment as needed, following safety protocols at all times.
- Develop skills in plumbing tasks related to water treatment processes.
- Collaborate with team members to build effective solutions for operational challenges.
- Apply basic math skills to assist in calculations necessary for process adjustments.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is required; further education in a relevant field is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of water treatment processes and wastewater treatment is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with an interest in heavy equipment operation.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately.
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
- Willingness to learn new skills and take on challenges within the operational environment.
