Exterior Source is an established residential exterior remodeling company serving homeowners throughout Hampton Roads. We specialize in exterior home improvement projects including roofing, siding, windows, doors, gutters, decks, trim, and concrete floor coatings.
About the Role
We are hiring an experienced Exterior Residential Production Manager to oversee projects from contract review through final completion.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone with strong exterior construction experience. The right candidate can lead crews, train new hires, solve jobsite issues, manage schedules, and help deliver a great customer experience.
Qualified candidates with residential exterior remodeling, construction leadership, or production management experience are encouraged to apply. Military and veteran candidates with hands-on exterior construction experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Manage residential exterior remodeling projects from contract review through completion
- Oversee scheduling, installation backlog, job flow, and monthly production goals
- Lead and support installers, subcontractors, W-2 employees, coordinators, and field support team members
- Train new hires and lead by example in the field when needed
- Coordinate labor, materials, permits, inspections, jobsite readiness, and customer communication
- Conduct jobsite visits to inspect work, resolve issues, and keep projects on schedule
- Source competitive material pricing without sacrificing quality or workmanship
- Build strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and manufacturers
- Use CRM systems, CompanyCam, scheduling tools, and construction software to track jobs, document work, and communicate updates
- Track production performance, including timelines, labor, materials, gross margin, callbacks, and customer satisfaction
- Manage punch lists, warranty items, callbacks, and final project closeout
- Hold crews and subcontractors accountable for safety, workmanship, professionalism, and jobsite cleanliness
Qualifications
- 5+ years of residential exterior remodeling production management experience
- Hands-on exterior construction experience required
- Ability to train others, lead by example, and assist in the field when needed
- Experience with roofing, siding, windows, doors, gutters, trim, decks, concrete floor coatings, or similar exterior products
- Experience managing subcontractors, W-2 employees, installers, vendors, schedules, permits, inspections, and budgets
- Comfortable using CRM systems, CompanyCam, and other construction or project management software
- Strong leadership, communication, scheduling, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects, crews, customers, vendors, and deadlines
- Ability to read job scopes, contracts, measurements, work orders, and project specifications
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
