The Sales Associate will provide a high level of customer service to our shoppers. The position will utilize communication skills, selling ability and product knowledge to assist customers. The Sales Associate will work with the store team to ensure that store presentation is maintained, product is stocked and merchandised, and operational projects/tasks are completed, so that a great shopping experience can be provided to customers.
Responsibilities
- Create a welcoming environment by greeting and interacting with customers
- Ask customers questions to identify the purpose for their visit and product needs to properly assist them
- Use product knowledge and company training to make product recommendations to customer
- Provide the customer with solutions, such as product substitutions or special ordering a product when applicable
- Educate customers on current promotions & discounts
- Regularly communicates with Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager for business updates
- Maintain store standards by assisting with stocking, merchandising and signing product; recovering the store to maintain cleanliness; and completing various operational projects/tasks
- Assists in receiving product deliveries and replenishing sales floor in a timely manner
- Enforce and adhere to all company policies and procedures, including health, safety, and security
- Performs any other duties as directed by supervisors
Qualifications
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Experience in retail sales and cash handling
- Proficiency in basic math and retail math
- Ability to operate a cash register and POS systems
- Knowledge of stocking and merchandising techniques
- Bilingual abilities and experience with product demonstrations are a plus
- Previous experience in a liquor store/bar setting is advantageous
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
