Project Team Member - Grounds & Maintenance– Juniper Springs (Ocala National Forest, FL)

Naventure is seeking a Project Team Member to assist in maintaining the beautiful landscapes and facilities in Ocala National Forest. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, operating equipment, and contributing to the upkeep of public recreation areas.

Pay Range: $18.00- $20/hour, commensurate with experience

Support maintenance projects at various locations within Ocala National Forest

Assist with basic plumbing, construction, and infrastructure repairs

Transport and safely load/unload maintenance equipment using a truck and trailer

Work collaboratively with Naventure staff, U.S. Forest Service, and park visitors

Operate zeroturn mowers, string trimmers, and other groundskeeping equipment

Ability to perform basic construction and infrastructure repairs, such as basic plumbing repairs (i.e. cutting and gluing PVC piping) and troubleshooting basic electrical issues

Experience with carpentry a plus

Preference given to candidates with specialized maintenance experience, particularly in equipment upkeep

Ability to load, transport, and maneuver equipment using a trailer

Experience driving and backing up a loaded truck and trailer

Must adhere to streamlined processes set by management

Must be able to work cooperatively with Naventure staff, management, U.S. Forest

Proficiency with zeroturn mowers, gasoperated string trimmers, and leaf blowers a plus

Work is primarily outdoors, including exposure to varying weather conditions

Ability to stand, bend, kneel, lift, and operate maintenance tools for extended periods

Comfortable lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling moderate to heavy objects

Relevant experience in maintenance, or a related field (2 years Preferred)

Desire to live and work in Ocala National Forest

Willingness to work weekends and holidays as needed

Must maintain a positive, efficient, and functional work culture

Landscape maintenance experience (Preferred,, but not required)

Applicants for onsite living must provide their own fully operational and selfcontained, hardsided RV. Full site hookup with utilities included provided while employed with Naventure. Laundry facilities are provided on site.
