Responsibilities
- Assist with landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing lawns, trimming trees, pruning shrubs, and planting flowers or new greenery
- Operate hand tools and power equipment including trimmers, blowers, and small ground-maintenance machinery safely and effectively
- Support irrigation system installation, repair, and routine checks to ensure optimal watering of plants and lawns
- Help with hardscape projects like installing pathways, retaining walls, or decorative features under supervision
- Perform general groundskeeping duties including debris removal, snow plowing during winter months, and seasonal clean-up activities
- Follow safety protocols diligently to ensure a secure working environment for yourself and team members
- Identify various plants and trees to assist with proper care and maintenance practices
Requirements
- Prior outdoor work experience or a strong interest in gardening and landscaping is preferred
- Mechanical knowledge or familiarity with landscape maintenance equipment is advantageous
- Ability to operate hand tools, lawn mowers, power tools, and small machinery safely
- Knowledge of plant identification, horticulture principles, and pesticide management is a plus
- Experience with irrigation systems, tree care (including trimming), and hardscape installation is desirable
- Strong adherence to safety protocols and procedures at all times
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks
- Construction experience or familiarity with excavation equipment like mini-excavators can be beneficial
