ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Field Equipment Technicians work closely with the club team management to address repair needs on a daily basis. Field Equipment Technicians are responsible for the upkeep of plumbing, lighting, walls and equipment within our facilities. Field Equipment Technicians are also responsible for communicating electronically with our team on a daily basis through e-mail. Field Equipment Technicians are typically assigned between 3-5 clubs depending on the needs of the business.

Providing a legendary member experience.

Reviewing and adhering to all NYSC and our family of brands documents including but not limited to policies and procedures, employee handbook, state supplement, codes of conduct, etc.

Working closely with club staff and members to deliver results on ongoing repairs.

Communicating effectively with management staff through e-mail.

Performing club walkthroughs on each visit to cover any repairs that may have gone unnoticed.

Working closely with management and other technicians in group on issues that are larger than singular repairs.

Providing necessary information in regard to renovations or annual maintenance needs.
- Effectively communicating with all club managers, members and guests that they come in contact with.

Working with each other and their supervising manager to acquire skills they have not learned yet.

Continuing to work singularly on issues that may be new each day to expand their skill set.

Attending all training sessions set up for equipment/facilities by NYSC and our family of brands to expand skill sets.

Cost savings driven by ensuring preventative maintenance is completed and scheduled during downtime.

Adhering to a ticket system for repairs which is monitored for progress.

Sending a daily action plan in the morning detailing which gyms are being visited from their route.

Sending a daily recap of repair work accomplished inside of the club that day.

Doing club walkthroughs with each General Manager on a per visit basis to go over results and ordering.

Additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Some hands-on experience with hand tools is necessary.

Experience working in the gym industry or automotive industry preferred.

Ability to assemble and disassemble cardio and strength machines as well as trouble shoot mechanical issues within them.

Ability to proficiently use our POS and membership system, timekeeping any other computer programs required to meet the business needs of the customer and NYSC and our family of brands.

Ability to complete light plumbing and electrical work as well as wall patching and painting.

Child & Adult AED/CPR certified, preferred.

Physical demands include ability to lift up to 20 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations, walk through all areas of the club, climbing stairs (where applicable), and bending and lifting (e.g. picking up towels, restacking weights, moving equipment as needed). The company reserves the right to change them as business needs require and that jobs may require other tasks as assigned to the employee by the company.
SCHEDULING REQUIREMENTS
Scheduling for this position is for 8 1/2 per day up to a 40-hour work week. Scheduling will fall between the hours of 5am and 5pm typically. Technicians work with club staff to design and adhere to a set schedule of club visits each week.
