Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and responsible Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Delivery Driver to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the face of our company on the road, delivering aggregates efficiently and safely to our valued customers. Your expertise in commercial driving, and customer service will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. Responsibilities
- Safely operate a transfer truck with a manual transmission (13 & 18 speeds), adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Spreading or dumping aggregate materials proficiently, backing up and safe transfer operation.
- Deliver products to various locations following designated dispatched routes, maintaining punctuality and professionalism.
- Provide exceptional customer service by interacting courteously with clients during deliveries and addressing their needs.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in optimal condition for daily operations.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, job documentation, and delivery receipts for record-keeping purposes.
- Assist with maintenance and repairs and supporting team members as needed.
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver with a valid CDL A license with doubles endorsement.
- Strong knowledge of local area driving, load & unloading procedures (transferring, backing up, dumping and spreading).
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively, pleasantly with clients and team members.
- Experience transfer dump trucks, large front end loaders, legible documentation.
