Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our growing specialty pediatric dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology and practices, as well as the ability to maintain a sterile and organized environment.
Duties
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in compliance with infection control protocols.
- Take X-rays and perform medical imaging as required, ensuring adherence to safety standards.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation, including patient histories and treatment plans.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Manage appointment scheduling and patient communications effectively.
- Utilize four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures.
- Stay updated on HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not mandatory; we welcome candidates eager to learn.
- Familiarity with dental terminology, infection control practices, and medical coding is advantageous.
- Proficiency in using dental systems for record keeping and appointment management is a plus.
- Dental Radiography Certification is required. In lieu of Certification, an approved training course must be successfully completed within 45 days of hire

Pay: $22.00 - $27.78 per hour
