Angel Salazar Design, LLC (ASD) is a luxury floral and experiential design studio based in Manhattan's Flower District. We create high-touch floral installations, event florals, holiday décor, and branded experiences for premier hospitality, retail, corporate, and private clients.
We are looking for a Floral Account Supervisor to join our leadership team supporting one of our most prestigious flagship retail accounts.
About the Role
The Floral Account Supervisor is a hands-on leadership role responsible for supporting the daily execution of a high-profile floral account. This position combines floral expertise, team leadership, client service, and operational coordination.
The ideal candidate has strong hands-on floral experience and a trained eye for flower quality, freshness, seasonal availability, and design execution. They are also an effective team leader who can delegate, coach, troubleshoot, and ensure work consistently meets ASD and client standards.
What You'll Own
Team Leadership & Daily Operations
- Help lead and supervise the account team, assigning responsibilities and coordinating daily services.
- Review team members' work for quality, consistency, and adherence to account standards.
- Provide direction, coaching, and feedback to team members.
- Step in hands-on to support floral production, maintenance, installations, and other account needs.
Floral Quality & Production
- Evaluate flower quality, freshness, condition, and overall presentation.
- Ensure floral work meets ASD quality standards and client expectations.
- Support seasonal flower selection, sourcing, and substitutions.
- Coordinate production schedules, staffing, materials, and service timelines.
- Anticipate challenges and proactively resolve issues before they impact the client.
Client & Team Communication
- Serve as an additional day-to-day point of contact for the client alongside the existing account leadership.
- Maintain professional, proactive, and timely communication.
- Coordinate with the Floral Designer, Floral Production Supervisor, and other ASD teams.
- Communicate priorities, changes, issues, and progress clearly.
Operational Excellence
- Ensure florals, vessels, tools, supplies, and equipment are prepared and available for scheduled services.
- Maintain organized workspaces and account-specific supplies.
- Support accurate timekeeping and required operational processes.
- Ensure compliance with ASD policies, account procedures, and safety standards.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience in floral design, floristry, or floral production required.
- Strong knowledge of flower quality, freshness, conditioning, and seasonal availability.
- Previous experience supervising, leading, or mentoring a team.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Professional presence and discretion when working with high-profile clients.
- Ability to work on-site at a flagship retail location.
- Bilingual English/Spanish.
Nice to Have
- 3+ years of experience in floral, hospitality, luxury retail, events, or client services.
- Experience working with luxury brands or high-profile accounts.
- Experience with recurring floral maintenance programs.
- Valid driver's license.
Schedule & Physical Requirements
Due to the nature of floral production and retail services, schedules include early mornings, weekends, and extended hours based on account and event needs. Early-morning production begin at 4:00 AM.
This role requires the ability to stand for extended periods and lift, carry, and move floral materials, containers, and equipment.
