Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our dynamic behavioral health team. Responsibilities
- Implement evidence-based behavior intervention strategies based on individualized treatment plans developed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs).
- Collect data on client behaviors to monitor progress and inform ongoing treatment adjustments.
- Support clients during therapy sessions, ensuring their safety and comfort through de-escalation techniques when necessary.
- Engage with clients providing emotional support and fostering positive communication.
- Maintain a safe environment by adhering to all health and safety protocols related to mental health and behavioral care.
Experience
- Prior experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorders or neurodevelopmental disorders.
- Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavior management techniques, and crisis de-escalation methods.
- Experience working within special education settings or mental health environments is highly desirable.
- Background in social work, addiction counseling, or substance use disorder treatment is a plus.
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and compassion.
- Strong communication skills for client interaction, documentation accuracy, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.
