Description:
The Lab Associate II supports essential laboratory operations by performing high-volume, fast-paced tasks that ensure accurate and timely processing of samples. This role requires comfort working with various biological specimens and maintaining strict adherence to laboratory safety and operational procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and check in couriers and incoming samples.
- Unbag, bar code, and organize samples for processing.
- Transport (“run”) samples throughout different areas of the lab.
- Load samples into analyzers and prepare them for testing.
- Place samples into centrifuges and operate related equipment.
- Mix (“swirl”) samples with required chemical solutions.
- Retrieve samples from refrigerated storage areas.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-compliant work environment.
- Follow established protocols, workflows, and laboratory procedures.
- Support high-volume production workflows with efficiency and accuracy.
- Adhere to all PPE and safety guidelines, including requirements for fully covered legs during onsite work
