We are currently hiring a Part-Time Academic Tutor to provide in-person Math and English instruction for K–8 students in Allen, TX.
Position Details:
- Position: Part-time Academic Tutor
- Subjects: Math & English
- Setting: In-person, classroom-based
- Location: LYFE Campus, 605 South Greenville Avenue, Allen, TX 75002
- Students: Kindergarten–8th Grade
- Pay: $25–$30 per hour
- Schedule: Tuesdays & Wednesdays, 3:30 PM–6:15 PM
- Program Duration: September 2, 2026 – End of March 2027
Job Duties
- Provide engaging, individualized instruction in Math and English.
- Support students in strengthening academic skills and building confidence.
- Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment.
- Monitor student progress and provide academic support as needed.
- Communicate professionally with supervisors and program staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Previous tutoring or teaching experience in Math and/or English is highly preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with students of diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Reliable, organized, and committed to the assigned schedule.
- Must have a personal vehicle and laptop/computer.
- Experience working with children is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Teaching certification (preferred but not required).
- Experience working with students with disabilities.
- Strong foundation in Math and English coursework.
Salary: $25–$30 per hour
