Our facility specializes in the production of intricate, tight-tolerance plastic parts using state-of-the-art molding machinery, advanced robotics, and automated inspection technology. Applicants are required to possess a minimum of two years of relevant experience in injection molding or mold setup.
Role Summary
The Injection Mold Set-Up Technician manages the installation of molds, initiates machine cycles, verifies processing parameters, and performs necessary adjustments during night-shift operations. You will interact with injection molding presses, peripheral equipment, robotic extraction systems, and quality control instrumentation to ensure optimal machine output and product consistency.
Primary Duties

Execute mold changeovers, installations, material color swaps, and machine startups.

Manage and fine-tune injection molding equipment to ensure high-precision output.

Operate automated systems, including 5-axis and 6-axis robotic take-out units.

Verify product quality through in-process and final inspections using vision systems, micrometers, gauges, and calipers to ensure standards are met.

Resolve molding defects such as flash, splay, shorts, dimensional inaccuracies, or color inconsistencies to maintain production flow.

Carry out routine preventive maintenance tasks on auxiliary equipment and molds to minimize downtime.

Record all production data accurately within SAP or equivalent manufacturing software.

Maintain a safe and compliant work environment by strictly adhering to cleanroom protocols and quality standards.
Essential Qualifications

At least 2 years of professional experience in injection molding.

Proven background in performing mold setups, changeovers, and process adjustments.

Strong mechanical aptitude coupled with effective analytical problem-solving capabilities.

Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs and remain standing for 12-hour shifts.

Proficiency in utilizing precision inspection tools like calipers and micrometers.

Fundamental computer skills and mathematical proficiency.

High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
