About Axes and Irons: Axes and Irons specializes in fire apparatus, fire equipment, and related services. We work directly with fire departments to provide quality products, service, and support. We are growing and looking for motivated sales professionals to join our team in Michigan and Ohio.
Position Overview: The Sales Representative will be responsible for selling fire apparatus, fire equipment, and related service programs to fire departments and other public safety agencies. This is a full-time position with a base salary plus commission and includes the use of a company vehicle and demo truck for customer visits.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage a sales territory within Michigan or Ohio
- Use our CRM program for managing leads, customer data, and call reports
- Schedule and conduct appointments and product demonstrations using the demo truck
- Perform cold calls and in-person visits to fire departments and related agencies
- Sell fire apparatus, fire equipment, and scheduled service programs
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers
- Attend sales meetings and company training sessions (travel and training costs paid by company)
- Work closely with the Sales Manager to coordinate demonstrations, deliveries, and transportation with fire departments
- Consistently meet or exceed sales targets and performance goals

Qualifications (Preferred)
- Previous sales experience, ideally in fire service, emergency vehicles, equipment, or related industries
- Experience with CRM software (or willingness to learn)
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
- Comfortable with cold calling and in-person visits
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
- Willingness to travel within assigned territory and attend training events
Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
