Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled 5 axis CNC Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating CNC machinery and possess the technical expertise to produce high-quality components with precision. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC 5 axis machines to produce parts according to specifications.
- Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to determine machining requirements.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments, including bore gauges, to ensure accuracy in production.
- Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment and troubleshoot any issues that arise during operation.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize machining processes and improve efficiency.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
- Edit Program software for complex machining tasks as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Skills
- Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments for quality control.
- Familiarity with bore gauges and other measurement tools.
- Strong mechanical knowledge and problem-solving skills.
- Basic math skills for calculations related to machining processes.
- Understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles.
- Experience with SolidWorks for design interpretation and modifications.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely within the manufacturing environment (certification preferred).
- Knowledge of Fanuc or Conversational Controls for CNC operations.
- Experience with lean manufacturing concepts to drive process improvements.
- Familiarity with tooling selection and application for various machining tasks.
