Responsibilities:
- Cleans public areas, lounges, lobbies, bathrooms, and hallways
- Vacuum and wash carpets and rugs
- Empty wastepaper baskets and ashtrays
- Transport trash to waste disposal equipment
- Dust and polish wooden surfaces and furniture
- Replenish Housekeeping supplies in storage closets
- Responsible for maintaining the required property uniform and always ensuring a professional appearance and attitude
- Responsible for courteous, efficient response always
- Respond promptly to guest requests and service calls, delivering amenities, linens, towels, cribs, rollaway beds, and other requested items with professionalism and courtesy.
- Support the Housekeeping team by collecting and distributing linens, removing trash and soiled linen, stocking housekeeping closets, and assisting Room Attendants as needed.
- Perform daily housekeeping service in occupied guest rooms and clean vacant guest rooms as needed to support department operations and maintain service standards.
Skills:
- Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with others.
- Must be proactive in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving issues as necessary.
Qualifications:
- 1 year experience working in a housekeeping environment
- Experience in a hotel is a plus.
- Must be flexible to work all shifts including overnights, weekends and holidays
- Exhibits a high level of professionalism in all interactions/situations.
- Always maintain a warm and friendly demeanor.
- Reliable and have a sense of urgency.
- Must be able to lift and carry upwards to 25 pounds.
- Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 lbs. on a regular basis.
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill cleaning tasks.
- Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Standards, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming.
- Comply with Standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
The anticipated pay range for this position is between $20.00-22.00/hr. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, and internal equity.
