The Assistant Project Manager will support the Project Manager in the planning and execution of a commercial fire station renovation project. This individual will assist with project coordination, scheduling, subcontractor communication, documentation, and day-to-day project administration to help ensure the project is completed safely, on time, and within budget. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and looking to grow their career in commercial construction management.
This is a Contract to Possible Permanent position that will require being fully on-site in Arlington, VA.
Salary: $50,000–$70,000 (Depending on Experience)
- Full demolition and renovation of an existing fire station
- Commercial/municipal construction project
- Approximately 12-month project duration
- Project scheduled to begin within the next few weeks
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience as an Assistant Project Manager, Project Engineer, Project Coordinator, or similar construction role
- Commercial construction experience required; renovation experience preferred
- Experience assisting with project schedules, subcontractor coordination, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office; experience with Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, or similar construction management software is a plus
- Ability to work closely with field personnel, subcontractors, and clients in a fast-paced construction environment
