Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks promptly, ensuring presentation and quality meet standards
- Upsell menu items including cocktails, wines, spirits, and specialty dishes to enhance guest experience
- Process sales transactions efficiently while handling cash, credit cards, and POS systems with precision
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in dining areas, including bussing tables and resetting for new guests
- Assist with food preparation or kitchen support as needed, adhering to food safety guidelines
- Manage guest relations by addressing inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally
- Support opening or closing duties such as setting up stations or restocking supplies
Requirements
- Previous food service experience in a fast-paced environment; fine dining experience is a plus
- Knowledge of POS systems including Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable is highly desirable
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
- Ability to handle multiple tables efficiently through excellent time management and organization skills
- Experience with wine knowledge, cocktail mixing, spirits handling, and upselling techniques
- Familiarity with food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Basic math skills for billing accuracy and cash handling responsibilities
- Previous roles such as host/hostess or bussing experience are beneficial but not required
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
